YOU Don’t need another therapist. you need a guide who’s been there.
Welcome to Donna Walsh Rise….
I didn’t choose this path - Grief handed it to me
My journey into this realm of recovery and healing began with a profound personal tragedy and has evolved into a lifelong mission of service and transformation. This became my purpose following the suicide of my life long partner in 2022. His passing absolutely shattered me, uncovering his betrayal and raising 3 children through the darkness, it was a devastating blow that plunged me into the depts of grief and despair. I searched anywhere and everywhere for healing something to make me feel again, something that actually worked!
I tried Professionals, Doctors, grief groups, healers, counsellors, mainstream talk therapy, I’d invested in more high vibe spaces than I want to admit- my throat was raw from chanting positive affirmations at myself no amount of positive talk was dragging me out of this place but nothing was going deep enough, I was frozen stuck in Trauma response! I didn’t want to take medication to dull it, I couldn’t risk the side effects I had kids to raise. I was stuck in the twilight zone between woo-woo and what-the-fk, I was still numb -still spiralling- still surviving, I knew I needed to feel the pain I needed to go within.
So I studied and embodied what they don’t teach in textbooks-
How trauma lives in the system.
How grief stores in the body.
How healing is felt, not forced.
And from that I created The Rise Method™: My signature pathway to emotional regulation, self-love, recovery & empowerment.
From Widowhood and heartbreak to trauma informed transformation warrior.
this is the method i needed so i created it…

Embodiment Processing: Reclaiming the Wisdom of Your Body
In the wake of trauma, grief, or chronic stress, the body often becomes a vault—holding suppressed memories, unprocessed emotions, and energetic imprints long after the mind has tried to move on. Embodiment Processing is a powerful, science-backed modality that invites you back into your body as a safe, sovereign space.
Rooted in neuroscience, somatic therapy, and trauma-informed care, this method gently guides you to notice, feel, and release stored tension and emotional residue from the nervous system. We bypass cognitive analysis and instead work with the body—your greatest tool for transformation.
What Makes It Unique?
While traditional talk therapy focuses on thought patterns, Embodiment Processing addresses the missing piece: the physiological imprints left behind by trauma. The body remembers what the mind forgets. By tuning into physical sensations, breath, and subtle movements, we access the limbic system—where trauma is stored—and begin to unwind survival patterns like hypervigilance, shutdown, or dissociation.
You’ll Learn To:
• Recognise and safely explore bodily sensations linked to emotional blocks
• Regulate your nervous system and exit fight, flight, or freeze patterns
• Rewire subconscious beliefs through somatic awareness
• Deepen your connection to intuition, presence, and personal power
• Reclaim the felt sense of safety, softness, and stability within your body
Why It Works:
Scientific research in polyvagal theory, neuroplasticity, and somatic experiencing confirms what ancient wisdom has long known—healing happens through the body, not in spite of it. When the body feels safe, the mind follows. Over time, this process rewires your inner world, shifts trauma at the root, and allows your authentic self to rise.
This isn’t just healing—it’s embodied liberation.

What is Somatic Therapy?
Healing the nervous system. Reclaiming the body. Returning to self.
Somatic therapy is a powerful, body-based approach to healing that recognises trauma, stress, and emotional pain are stored not just in the mind — but within the nervous system, tissues, and felt experience of the body.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, which takes a top-down approach (mind to body), somatic therapy works from the bottom up — beginning with the body’s signals, sensations, breath, and subconscious responses to create deep and lasting change.
Grounded in the science of polyvagal theory, attachment repair, and trauma-informed care, somatic therapy helps regulate the nervous system, release suppressed emotion, and restore a felt sense of safety in the body. It’s designed to gently unravel survival patterns like freeze, fawn, shutdown, or anxiety that may have formed in response to grief, trauma, burnout, or overwhelm.
At its core, somatic therapy is the practice of listening to what your body has been trying to say — often for years. Through subtle awareness, movement, guided breathwork, and embodiment techniques, you begin to process and release what’s been stored… without having to relive it.
This is the work of returning to wholeness.
This is nervous system repair at its root.
This is healing, from the inside out.

What is Root Cause Therapy?
Root Cause Therapy (RCT) is a groundbreaking, trauma-informed healing modality designed to identify and resolve the subconscious imprints driving our emotional pain, behavioural patterns, and self-sabotaging cycles. Unlike surface-level solutions, RCT goes directly to the origin of emotional, mental, and energetic blockages—often formed in childhood or through unresolved trauma—allowing for true, lasting transformation.
Rooted in neuroscience, RCT works by gently guiding the nervous system out of survival mode and into a state of safety, where deep subconscious memories and limiting beliefs can be accessed and reprocessed without re-traumatisation. It is a structured and integrative approach, combining evidence-based techniques such as timeline therapy, somatic processing, inner-child healing, and subconscious reprogramming.
How It Works
RCT operates on the understanding that unresolved emotional wounds are stored in the subconscious mind and the body’s nervous system. These hidden imprints shape the way we think, feel, react, and relate to others—often without our conscious awareness.
Each session follows a scientifically grounded four-phase framework:
1. Awareness & Assessment
Through a personalised intake process, we explore the areas in your life that feel blocked, chaotic, or misaligned—tracing them back to core belief systems and nervous system patterns.
2. Timeline Exploration
Using gentle, conscious regression techniques, you are guided to access the root memories behind recurring triggers, self-doubt, pain, or emotional overwhelm. These are not just events—but the meanings your mind attached to them.
3. Emotional Resolution & Somatic Release
Once the root cause is identified, we activate the body’s natural healing intelligence to safely express and release trapped emotions, recalibrating the nervous system and interrupting reactive patterns.
4. Subconscious Reprogramming
With the old imprint cleared, we install new, self-empowering beliefs and regulated responses, creating space for confidence, clarity, peace, and aligned action.
The Science
RCT is grounded in the polyvagal theory, somatic psychology, and the latest trauma neuroscience. It recognises the role of the autonomic nervous system and the subconscious mind in storing trauma and shaping identity. By working with brainwave states (Theta and Alpha) and activating parasympathetic regulation, clients are able to access deep transformation in a calm, alert, and embodied state.
This method honours both the biology and psychology of healing—meeting you at the intersection of mind, body, and emotion to restore your inner stability and authentic self.
I Believe in a holistic approach to healing that honours every aspect of the individual physical, mental, emotional, and energetic.
Acknowledgement of Country and Ancestors
We recognise the continuous and deep connection to Country, of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People as the first peoples of this nation. In this way we respectfully acknowledge the Whadjuk Witjari, Noongar people, local Custodians of this land, its waters, sea and sky. We pay tribute to the Elders past and present and respect the collective ancestry that has brought us all here today. It is a privilege to be practicing and teaching on Country and we hope that our work here in some way supports true custodianship of this land.
